Only three participants this week, so they all won! Yay!

@lakermom37: I really liked how you set the scene so well. I felt like I was there with how you described the telegraph wires. Hoping she receives good news!

@lolosofocused: I really liked how she was doing that for herself. She came off as so powerful and strong. She wanted to help and she wanted to do something other than worry. I think he would be proud of her too!

@darcysmom: I loved the end! I wasn't expecting to rank higher than her brother and was totally fist pumping when I read that line!

Retro Wonder Flash Fic Prompt #3!

Happy Monday! Since there was more participation last Monday than on Saturday, we've decided to host the flash fic contest on Mondays from here on out. Thank you all!

Now then, ready for the new prompt? Our judge today is the lovely @TinsleyWarren! Tinsley has been writing stories since she's been able to form sentences. We got three outstanding entries. I am in awe of the creativity and talent displayed by these ladies. I loved how varied the stories were - reaching for change, unrequited love, and love in the moment.

I never thought it would be so difficult to choose a winning story. After countless re-reads and gnashing of my teeth, I came to a decision.
