Welcome to the Madi Merek Retro Wonder Flash Fiction Contest!

What is this style of writing that is growing in popularity, you may have asked?
Flash fiction is defined as a piece of literature that is typically extremely short, containing no more than 300 words.

The Retro Wonder contest’s word limit is 300, with a minimum of 100. Your contest entry may be any style of writing, as well as any genre, however, please refrain from any racial slurs. Only one contest entry per “person.” It doesn’t matter if you enter as a real person or with a pen name, please only enter one time.

A judge will choose the prompt, be it a word prompt, a photo prompt, or other form of media. The judge shall then choose a winner from the entries given, as well as a Runner-Up and an Honorable Mention. The chosen winner will then be the judge for the next contest. Judges are ineligible to enter the contest when they are the judge for that week. Once a winner has had the honor of judging, they are ineligible to do so again for a time period of six months.

The Retro Wonder Flash Fiction Contest shall be a weekly, twenty-four hour affair to remember! Entries accepted from Monday 12:01 AM Central Standard time to 12:00 AM Tuesday.

Good luck!
